I’m having trouble of a different sort. I have been an inside cat all my life;
however, my pets recently put me outside and then for some reason refuse to
open the door for me again. I’m not sure
what is going on, but their scent is fading as well. Can you help?

“Dear Outside Now,
You have been given a great opportunity. Your pets have chosen not to pamper you
anymore. They have developed a sense of
importance (how dare they) and; if their scent is fading, they may have tried
to make it permanent by moving away.
Human pets can be so fickle.
However, outside is a wonderful place where you can learn so many things
and eat and play with total abandon.
Once you have fully enjoyed the outside world, seek an area with cat
friendly humans (you’ll probably already have smelled them out) and pretend to
be totally helpless. Limp a bit, cry a
lot, and get yourself very dirty and covered in briars. One of the pets will take you in and begin
the pampering all over again because they will feel sorry for you. And you will only have to pay attention to
them once in awhile in payment. In fact,
they may actually let you out on a regular basis for more fun and
adventure. Good luck and have fun!
Signed Cocoa”
